There we were, minding our own business, when iwrestledabearonce whacked us round the back of the head with a hoard of musical two-by-fours. With nails in.

Our music video of the week is their new song, Tastes Like Kevin Bacon. With an amazing eighties interlude and an interesting ‘dream effect’, this video is one of the funniest things you will ever see.

As for the music - wow! This is anything but generic grindcore. There’s some amazing guitar work in there, and some truly crushing double-bass drumming. The female vocalist has one of the most amazing vocal ranges you’ll ever hear - delivering sweet singing one second and brutal growls the next. They’ve even managed to get the Dukes of Hazzard Dixie horn in there.

Unless you’ve been living under a box for the best part of a month, you’ll have heard that there’s a new Biffy Clyro song about. Mountains, as it prefers to be known, is being released on August 25th.

If you haven’t heard this monstrously catchy song with its thundering chorus of I am a mountain, I am the sea, you can check out the video here. Half the song has also been posted on the band’s MySpace page.

Be warned, though. Once you’ve been exposed to this song, you’ll be singing it for weeks.
