Everyone’s favourite side project The Almost are set to release a new EP, titled No Gift To Bring on the 25th November.
The tracklisting posted at Zambooie shows three new songs, plus two remakes that sound promising: an extended version of Amazing Because It Is and an electro remake of Dirty And Left Out by everyone’s favourite flobber Timmy McTague.
Demon Hunter will be releasing their eagerly awaited CD/DVD titled 45 Dayson the 25th November. I’ve never been a big fan of the band but i’m going to be bagging this release for the DVD, it looks super-slick and really well produced and directed.
There are lots of black and white, arty-looking shots in the trailer for the film which follows the band on tour and focuses a lot on the fans as well as giving you a glimpse into the lives of the members of this powerhouse in Christian metal.
This is an old interview that Revolver Magazine did a while ago but I saw it posted up on Bands on Fire and thought I’d post it here. It’s a good read with some honest, real answers from all the guys involved.
So if you’e Christian or not, or just want to know what it means for these guys to believe what they do, then go have a gander.
Actually head on over to Copeland’s myspace right now and check out a new song from the upcoming Tooth and Nail debut, You Are My Sunshine.
The song is called The Grey Man. I wondered what their sound would be like, if it would change much or deviate from their signature sound. Thankfully the are at their best by the sound of things!
I personally can’t wait for the new album and if The Grey Man is anything to go by we’re in for a treat.
The new Trenches album is out tomorrow (September 16th) titled The Tide Will Swallow Us Whole on Solid State Records.
Trenches is fronted by former Haste the Day frontman Jimmy Ryan. Fans of early HTD will be excited to hear Jimmy’s distinctive growls but if they’re expecting the same style of music they should think again.
To get a taster of what to expect from this band, they have a couple songs from the new album up on their myspace.
In case you didn’t know, Haste the Day have a new album coming out called Dreamer on October 14th. Going by the two songs from the upcoming album on their myspace, it’s going to be just as crushing as their 2007 release Pressure the Hinges, if not more.
The artwork is looking nice, I’m guessing it’s Invisible Creature but we’ll see. They’re also promising a “HUGE” booklet so I’ll look forward to that too as I’m a collector of sweet album art.
They’re going to be touring in Australia later in the year supporting Scary Kids Scaring Kids and there’s a Germany tour date up just after. Here’s hoping they’ll pop across to the UK, preferably Scotland so we can catch these guys live!
